Conducting Public Engagement for proposed Mixed-Use Development (2017)

SCI was engaged by a partnership, comprised of Rochester Housing Charities, the South Wedge Planning Committee and Morgan Communities to conduct a series of community meetings, to gauge support for a proposed development of a valuable site located along the Genesee River in the South Wedge neighborhood. These meetings were designed to provide information to residents who had expressed concerns about previous developments in this revitalized community. Feedback derived from three public sessions, and from surveys disseminated to meeting participants and other interested citizens, were compiled in a report to the partnership. The report was not released to the public, pending the City’s issuance of a RFP for the 151 Mt. Hope Avenue site. SCI Associates assigned to this project were: Bridgette Burch-White. Rodric Cox-Cooper, David Dey, Tony Favro, Cameron Hebda and William A Johnson.
